In science our new topic is Forces and Magnets. We started our topic by learning all about contact force. Ask your child to tell you what this is.

On Monday, we were adding and subtracting multiples of 100 in Maths.

Diwali- making Rangoli Patterns with chalk on the ground.

Last half term we read Funny Bones and discussed the house they live in and our own houses. Today we recapped this and went on a walk around Mill Hill to look at different types of houses. Ask your children about this tonight.

We enjoyed our first worship at St Aidan’s Church today! All of the children were so well behaved.

Today we went on a local walk to look at different habitats and micro habitats. The children had so much fun with some even saying “This is the best day ever!”. They showed excellent behaviour and learnt lots about our science topic.

Congratulations to Cath our school cook at St. Aidan's, for winning a gold Recipe 4 Health award!

Gymnastics Year 3 17.10.24

Today we have had a visit from a famous poet, Paul Cookson. We enjoyed a whole school assembly, and then we had our session in Year, where he helped us to write a poem all about the Stone Age. We had so much fun!

Our end product! We worked super hard on our seasonal vegetable tarts to ensure they met our design criteria. They tasted and looked delicious! We are so proud of our end result. Well done Year 3!
