This afternoon we have re-enacted the story of Jim and the Beanstalk.

So far in Maths this week we have been making and drawing arrays to make it easier to calculate multiplications. This helps us understand that multiplication is commutative.

Our RE topic this term is Easter. We are looking at how symbols help us understand the Easter story. Yesterday we played pass the parcel with different parts of the story, we then put them on order and tried some delicious hot cross buns.

We’re still exploring mark-making in Art using a variety of tools. Our focus has been on creating various shapes and playing with light and dark. The results are truly stunning!

How did trade get global? We have been researching globalisation and how it developed over time.

After completing the micro:bit simulations we used to the micro:bits for our animal monitors.

We are enjoying using a micro:bit simulation to create an animal monitor. It makes a sound when the temperature gets too hot or cold for the animals we have chosen.

A visit from Kaitlyn our veterinary nurse.

Learning about the water cycle in science.

This afternoon we are carrying out research into different animals and their habitats as part of our monitoring devices project in DT week.

We are continuing to develop our throwing, passing and catching skills in the PE lesson this morning.

We have been so lucky to go on two local walks this week. On Tuesday we went out out looking at the human and physical features of Mill Hill for our Geography topic. Here we are on our Science walk yesterday looking for wooden materials outdoors.
