A wetter week at Forest School didn't stop the fun! We've been busy learning how to identify some of our local native trees. They did a great job noticing different leaf shapes and bark textures.

A train journey and Year 2's Youth Zone fun adventure. Parachute, sports games, fun activities and arts and crafts. What an amazing time we have had!

Our first Forest School session was a huge success! We loved exploring our surroundings and discovering all sorts of fascinating insects.

Our pupils had a fantastic day working with the talented artist Ursula Hurst, who's helping them bring our RE Big Frieze to life. Their engagement and excitement were clear throughout the session, and we can't wait to see the finished masterpiece tomorrow

Yesterday, we had a wonderful visit from the Ribble Rivers Trust. The children were fascinated learning about river creatures, the impact of river bank erosion, and the importance of planting native wildflowers. A highlight was making seed bombs.

What a special start to this half term for our Year 5 children. Mrs Moss has managed to arrange a visit to Mill Hill library to hear a story and meet the infamous Christina Gabitas, a famous Blackburn author.
