Eating our delicious hot cross buns in RE. We are learning about the symbols of Easter.

In RE, we have been learning about The Last Supper, we learnt that Jesus had a meal with his 12 disciples. The children broke their bread saying ‘this is my body’ to remember Jesus and drank (juice) saying ‘this is my blood’ to forgive all sins.

New Life in Bloom! As part of our Easter topic in RE, we have been busy planting cress this afternoon. It is a wonderful way for the children to visualise the theme of growth and new life. We can't wait to look after it and see how it grows!

In RE, Reception explored the story of Palm Sunday. After learning how Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey as a new king, the children held their own outdoor parade to celebrate and shout "Praise him!"

Yesterday afternoon, enjoyed a Spring walk spotting buds, blossom, and new flowers—a big change from Winter! We even linked this to our RE topic, Easter, by hunting for signs of new life.

Reception have been exploring Chinese New Year! They learned about family traditions, lucky colours, and the story of the Zodiac. The children enjoyed sequencing the animals from ‘The Great Race’ and creating their own festive lanterns and cards.

After recalling our knowledge of the history of Chinese New Year, we learnt about the type of food that is eaten and the dragon & lion dances in the parade. Reception loved trying some spring rolls and prawn crackers.

This term in RE, we are exploring "Jesus Loves Everyone." We’ve been learning about New Testament miracles, most recently the story of Blind Bartimaeus. Ask your child to share their "sticky knowledge" about Jesus and the Children or the Ten Lepers!

In RE we have been learning about Stories Jesus Told, the story we have been focusing on is ‘The Lost Sheep’. The children had to find the lost sheep that were outside and inside. They learnt that God is like a loving Shepherd who never gives up.

In RE we had a special gift from clever cub who wanted to share an important story that Jesus had told! - The Good Samaritan. Reception understood how important it is to help when someone needs it.

In RE we have been learning about Jesus’s Journey: where he lived and where he visited. The children made a temple to secure their knowledge, putting their learning into practice.
